Eating With The Seasons: SUMMER

Hello!

Back again with a seasonal produce guide for your shopping needs. Summer time is when most people take their vacations and really get to enjoy a wide variety of foods. Most people also indulge in cold fruits to keep them cool through the peak of the hot months. I myself am one who relies on fruits and salads to keep me refreshed and hydrated during the summer months, along with water.

Here is the link for the Summer Produce Guide, and I will list the foods that I personally partake in below:

*Bell Peppers (I use these ALL year and all color varieties)

*Blueberries

*Cantaloupe

*Cherries

*Corn (I love grilled corn and could probably eat it every day lol)

*Cucumbers

*French Green Beans

*Garlic

*Grape Tomatoes

*Grapes

*Honeydew Melon

*Limes

*Peaches

*Peas

*Plums

*Strawberries

*Tomatoes

*Watermelon

All of these are amazing and very nutritious and will be sure to make for great summer recipes.

Cantaloupe, Cucumbers, Grapes, Honeydew, Strawberries, Watermelon and Tomatoes are great for stay hydrated during the summer months. Particularly watermelon, strawberries, and cucumbers because they all are at least 80% water. They're also great because you can eat all of them in raw form and instantly reap the amazing benefits.

Strawberries and Watermelon are my personal favorites for staying cool and hydrated, especially when taking trips or being directly in the heat. They're easy to cut and they tend to travel well, as long as they are kept in a cooler.

The website has a large list of fruits and vegetables and I am confident that all of you will be able to find foods that you like, and once you do, comment and let me know which ones are your favorites!
