Hello all!
So last week I did a blog post on iron-rich meal prepping but wanted to just give a list of foods that you can incorporate into your diet that are iron-rich, and that can help in your meal planning preparation. I will put the foods in a chart and highlight the ones that I personally enjoy eating.
This list can also help you to plan a balanced meal as well (protein, carb, fruit, vegetable), since calcium inhibits iron absorption try to consume little to no dairy products while trying to increase your iron intake.
What kind of meals would you make with the chart above?
The ideal meal for me would be Grilled Chicken, a Sweet Potato, Collards, Strawberries, and would gladly eat cereal for dessert if I needed a sweet treat or an oatmeal raisin cookie lol
I am going to try and add a recipe for next week that is iron-rich to make it a mini series.
