Hello!
Today I wanted to share with you guys this DELICIOUS pasta I made. We hadn’t had pasta with alfredo sauce in a while and one day after work I went to Giant on a whim to get all of the ingredients because I was cravinggggg it so bad.
These were the vegetables that I included in the sauce: mushrooms, broccoli, onions, garlic, orange/yellow bell peppers.
As I cut all of the vegetables into small pieces I put some olive oil into a pan and let it get hot while I finished. I added the turkey sausage, onion, and garlic into the pan with the olive oil first and let it simmer.
Once the turkey sausage was cooked and started browning I added in the rest of the veggies and added a little bit more olive oil.
After adding the rest of the veggies I let everything cook on medium for about 12 minutes until the veggies began to soften.
I then added the Alfredo sauce to the pan and mixed all of the ingredients very well.
The next step was adding the cooked pasta. Once everything was well mixed, I reduced to heat to low (about 2-3 setting) and let it simmer for about 30-40 mins so all of the flavors could blend together.
The final product was absolutely amazing and served and a very satisfying dinner 😋.
We had it for dinner and it was 10x better the next day for lunch! So creamy and filling with the fiber packed vegetables.
Do you like Alfredo sauce? If so, what kind of things do you guys put into your pasta Alfredo?
Also, has anyone tried pizza with Alfredo sauce as the base? I've had one with cheese and chicken and it actually was really good!
Let me know how you guys use Alfredo sauce in the comments! (:
Stay safe!
